Why Oh Why?

For you apologists. My favorite card is "Why would a loving God create Hell?" Well first let's analyze this question. First off they are assuming that God is a loving God. God is a very loving God and what they are doing here is challenging this attribute.  If I love you I am not going to make a eternal pit of fire for you to dwell in for eternity that just seems stupid. Well God is loving. He is the very definition of love. Without Him there is no love. I can't think of the verse reference off the top of my head but it says that God is love. Now God is love how can He do something so drastic as create Hell? This is were the Catholics come in. They believe in purgatory a place were you work off your sin. this is completely false. Now they do mean it for the Christians only but that is beside the point. they think there is a between place were you can fix yourself so to speak. So anyways why would God do something that drastic. Now to answer the question. First let's make a point that God is Holy. Since God is holy, he cannot allow us imperfect beings into his Holy Realm and Presence. Because we sin he must somewhere to punish us. That is what Hell is. We deserve Hell Rom. 3:23 and Rom 6:23a we deserve death. God still loves us. He hates it that we have to go to Hell but it must be done. It's like when your parents give yhou a spanking. Mine always asked me if I think they like beating me. The answer is no. They absolutely hate it, but they must do it to make us learn so that we get what we deserve. Now we must go to our final point to this card. Jesus saves us. Rom 6: 23 I do this all the time were I quote  the first part of that verse in one point and do the whole thing in the next point. It works so well. So anyways Jesus died on the cross and has become a cloak of holiness over us. He saved us. He is the doorway to heaven.

Well hoped you had an interesting time reading my thoughts on this card. Have fun writing one of your own!!
