Courageous

Just recently there was released a new movie in the theaters ::applause:: This movie is called Courageous. Now it is not a war were everyone dies left and right. It does involve a lot of action though. It shows the meaning of being a parent, or more specifically a father. There are these police officers who decide to follow God and be the Best fathers they ever could be. It is a very touching movie. It makes you cry many times, as well as laugh your pants off. I know it touched me with its message. First off: I am very glad I have my father and that he knows to an extent, what he is doing. He knows he needs to raise me to be the man I will eventually be. He knows that if he doesn't guide me to make God first in my life, his role on this earth has failed. This movie made me appreciate him all that much more. Second: It made me want to grow up in the same regard. I want to become the man God made me to be, as well as Become a good father when the time comes. I must always follow in His path. It made me want to take up the resolution that the Main Characters in the movie signed. It made me want to follow God with my heart and eventually teach my (Future) children to do the same.

This is the resolution that those men signed:

I DO solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.
I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach the Word of God.
I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down m life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.
I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength.
I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their heart, all of their minds, and all of their strength.
I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly.
I WILL confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy.
I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect , and compassion.
I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.
I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.
I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.
I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word and do His will.
I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15

POSTINGS!

Last night was like any other Monday night.... WRONG! Last night was pairings at debate meaning we figured out who we were going to spend the next 8 months with. pairings have really put me in a position of trust with our coach Mr. Wolcott. Mostly because this is the second year in a row that I don't know my partner. I have to completely and utterly trust that Mr. W. and God know what they are doing, because I know for a fact I never would have picked the partner that I got. Really because I don't know him. But this will be a great year. lots of new people and new faces. I had a blast last year with Colton Best who I had met only once before pairings. Now I have someone I have never met in my life, yet I know that if we trust in God and his wisdom we will grow and learn a lot. So it doesn't matter who your partner is as long as you trust in God. Do that for me will you? It will Help!

ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE!

INDIANA JONES!!!!
Bob. most definitely an adventure to be around him.

Now what do these two have in common?

Absolutely nothing.

No one of consequence

POP QUIZ! How many words does the average American know? Turns out that most Americans know about 3,000 words. Now let's compare this to the most famous writer (Next to God) in the whole entire worldliness. SHAKESPEARE! He knew between 30,000 to 50,000 words. That is OVER TEN TIMES the amount we know nowadays. That is a lot of words. No wonder he is the most famous writer today.
Random fact of the day: Shakespeare needed some new words so he made some up such as: Lonely, countless. leapfrog, dwindle, barefaced, fretful, and submerged to name a few.
